Thanks for the fast reply! Yes, I think your reply won't help much, though I understand what you mean =) The PDF's I have ARE final output in the sence that all that needs to be done is the layout. Usually even no scaling is needed (sometimes their size information is wrong). Sometimes all that needs to be done, is to import the PDF and align it's crop marks (so AFAIK there are utilities that can concatenate PDF's, so that'll be a solution for those, but no some other PDF's). As I said in my earlier thread (this is the same work), they are mostly advertisements. I don't think that the option of extracting the images is feasible; I would need to extract the text, too, and I don't think I can also extract the embedded font. And some of the PDF's are even more complex than just (an) image(s) and formatted text. They contain what you'd expect from an ad taking up a page or half of it. By the way, what software would you use for extracting the images? But, nevertheless, if there's (even a partial) a workaround for the color problems I've encountered, any advice would be welcome! If Scribus (or, actually ghostscript+Scribus) doesn't do the CMYK->RGB->CMYK conversion I was afraid of, then I'd assume it wouldn't be impossible to achieve what I'm trying to do. > I know it won't help too much, but I'm very curious to see how you'll finally > get it with Scribus ;-) I'll let you know what'll happen! - Ville -- Ville Aakko - ville.aakko at gmail.com
