I have been using Scribus for a while now, to produce a four page sheet of diary entries, useful addresses, and train and bus timetables for a quarterly village news. In general it works really well.
I have however one niggle, which has been going on for a while and I seem to recall was due to be fixed in some (then) future release, and I would be really happy if happened sooner rather than later. It is cut and paste to and from the story editor from external programs (other KDE apps such as KMail, or KWrite). I am sure that a long while ago it used to work, but now it just seems to ignore the keys. They are defined and it does not matter whether I use the keys or the menu entries, nothing happens. I am using the main line scribus, not the development version. Last time I tried the development version it had other problems with the story editor and I decided to hold of using it for a while. If those problems are fixed then if this cut and paste issue is fixed I will move. I am by the way a Debian (unstable) user. Any ideas when this might be fixed? Regards David
