Scribus does not flatten pdf 1.4 output which is required by some printers, such as LSI. After much conversation and some experimentation I came up with this scheme. ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Export file as pdf 1.4 2. View file in recent Acrobat Reader. 3. Print to PostScript file, first adjusting the papersize to actual document dimensions. 4. run ps2pdf13 filename.ps newname.pdf ------------------------------------------------------
This makes the pdf 1.3 with transparency preserved. Whether LSI will accept it without modification is a question, since it doesn't say PDFx1/a:2001 or Distiller in the file. But at least it is flattened. -- John Culleton Resources for every author and publisher: http://wexfordpress.com/tex/shortlist.pdf http://wexfordpress.com/tex/packagers.pdf http://www.creativemindspress.com/newbiefaq.htm http://www.gropenassoc.com/TopLevelPages/reference%20desk.htm
