Nonetheless, you're still better off getting it through your distro (which is....?) so that you avoid conflicts. Every once in a while there is something important like this, but I would advocate patience, rather than resorting to compiling and other such out-of-package approaches. How badly do you need the latest/greatest 1.3.5svn?
Fedora seemed to have had a delay in getting 4.4.x, but they changed something about update repositories, and now have 4.4.2 Greg Thanks Greg I did not particularly want to upgrade Fedora 8 just yet. I 'm pleased getting it to work on the few applications I use. Reason I downloaded the latest svn is because my last Scribus svn faults with that dreaded error message 'Scribus crashes due to signal 11' An it does so with monotonous regularity on a 2 x A4 sheets newsletter in black and white with a dozen text boxes and 3 images. I thought the latest svn may address this. Roger
