In the Edit Colour dialogue, you can choose either a number of different swatch collections or the HSV-Colourmap.
Compared to other similar colour pickers, I find this baffling to use. I understand that you choose the hue (wavelength, frequency) from L to R, looping back to Red at the RH end. And you choose saturation on the vertical axis, fully saturated hue at the top and completely unsaturated at the bottom. In CMYK mode, you can choose value by adjusting the K slider, with maximum value (luminance, brightness) at the left, and least at the right. But how do you adjust value in the RGB mode? In other RGB colour pickers (see below), a value slider is included which adjusts all three RGB sliders appropriately. Or is the HS(V?) pane intended only as a feedback device but not a picker? Compare the Scribus HSV picker with this more intuitive wheel colour picker ... <http://imagebin.ca/view/fIt2YXYF.html> ... and a square colour picker ... <http://imagebin.ca/view/AZ2vN6N.html> Or am I missing something about the HSV-Colourmap in the Edit Colour dialogue?
