I *strongly* suggest to you that a script, if one exists, is overkill for the task you want to accomplish. The "Multiple Duplicate" feature of Scribus is the appropriate tool for this task. Other professional DTP applications have similar features. If there are any positioning errors using this feature, they are not visible, are not even measurable, even when using an offset press to print the final product, even when that final product has multiple colors.
