As far as I remember: You should not use ## but only #. In early versions of Scribus you needed # for single digit page numbers, ## for two digit page numbers and ### if you had three digit page numbers. But that's not needed any more, a single # is replaces by the page number, no matter how many digits, and aligns correctly. /Peter
