I still have Win XP as my secondary OS. I won't upgrade to Win 7 because it costs money. If/when major apps like Acrobat Distiller will no longer run on Win XP then I might consider it. Win 2000 can't address some modern disk drives fully. Otherwise I would still be using that version. An OS is a program launcher. I use Slackware 13 because it contains QT 4 that is necessary for the latest versions of some important software.
