I have run Scribus from an installation on a USB stick without problems, so it is possible. This was just a "normal" install of a Windows version, so you don't really need some "special" Portable Scribus to do this. You just have to put your mind into the "mind" of Scribus. If you're trying to run it on a system without fonts, what good is that? So you say, "But I have fonts!", in which case the issue comes down to Scribus knowing where to look. I forget the precise sequence, but Scribus will look in a standard series of locations for fonts, which in Linux is going to include a /home/mylogin/.fonts location. I think Windows has some sort of pseudo-fonts directory. So what you need to do is to trick/help Scribus into finding where your fonts are on whatever system you're trying to run it on. Some specifics about your system(s) would perhaps be useful to us trying to troubleshoot. Greg
