You can import text and data from OOo, but the table formatting (as a table) will be lost. Scribus does have a table utility, but it just creates multiple text frames that are not otherwise connected. There are workarounds, but bear in mind that Scribus is a layout program, not a program for writing or doing calculations. One workaround is to create text frames of multiple columns and flow your data through them as a stream of text. Another workaround is to create the table in OOo, export to PostScript, and import the PostScript as a vector graphic into Scribus.
