There are also some things I can do faster from a CLI than a GUI. It's much faster to create and name a new sub-directory that way as an example. Also, if you want to move or delete (let's say) *.bak, you don't have to select them and hope you didn't miss any. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The important thing is to learn how to get the best from both.
