Well, to get it working is one thing, to get it good is another. For most uses it really is sufficient to work without CMS, especially since proofs are getting cheaper. I think CMS has in some ways become outdated. Is was more important when proofs and test runs were expensive, but at the same time as CMSs developed the methods for printing have developed too. > This point is even more correct knowing the fact Nikita had had his > monitor calibrated with specialised hardware. Well, that is one of things you need, but not sufficient alone. To get a correct print preview you also need a profile for the printer. And colours on a monitor also depends on the viewing conditions (the ambient light in the room). /Peter
