you might try to write a feature request for PNGs with transparent background. it's probably easy to change the current export code to (also) produce PNGs with transparent background. personally, i'd prefer to see scribus improving in its core functions, rather than keeping in getting new features which are rarely used, but... that's life... > > 7.
