Anchoring and inline graphics is not the same thing, an anchored
object can be outside the text frame.

Anchoring is similar to grouping, you could anchor an image in the
margin to a word in the text. The image would then move up/down in th
margin when the word moved.

You could call it "dynamic relative positioning".
