[scribus] Why Can't Scribus See My Fonts?

I'm on an Intel-core MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.7 Snow Leopard.  Fonts are 
managed with Suitcase Fusion 3 for Mac.  None of the fonts that are activated 
through SF3 and available in the fonts lists of all my other applications show 
up in Scribus.  I can use any of the active fonts in any of my applications, 
EXCEPT Scribus.  What the hell?  How do I get this to work?
