According to the file date/time stamp (while the "unsaved" >dialog is up) the document is indeed saved. I use Scribus on Linux and this bug has persisted for ages. I believe it has been discussed here before and, if I recall correctly, the upshot is that fixing it is not trivial. I just learned to ignore it.
