The appearance of and 1.4.n (n > 0) versions depends on whether there is some fix felt to be necessary for 1.4.0 that requires a release. Past experience tells us this is highly likely. And yes, the developmental 1.5.0 should lead to 1.6.0 stable, and I guess the new unstable will be 1.7.0, but I haven't heard anything definite. There's a lot going on in 1.5.0, so the appearance of any 1.7.0 seems of dubious value. Greg
