[scribus] Mac OS X Installation

Okay, why does installing Scribus on a Mac need to be so cryptic?  On Windows, 
it practically installs itself.  Isn't there a simple way of downloading an 
installer, running it, and presto - Scribus appears in the Applications folder 
ready to run?  Am I missing something?
