Long ago when I used PageMaker (pre Quark, InDesign and Scribus) and
inadvertently moved a folder containing links, PM would warn upon opening that
pictures (etc.) were missing, and, like Scribus, would offer a way to point to
the new location. Once there, PM would announce it found other missing links
there, too, and did I want to link them? Wouldn't that be a nice feature in
Scribus?
At least perhaps if you're using a piece of art (logo, etc) multiple times
Scribus should recognize that the file you pointed to is the one to use for all
instances where they're missing. I use a little logo as a dingbat and I have to
search and relink seven or eight times for my 8-page newsletter. I know the
proper workflow dictates linked files stay with the doc, but... If this is a
feature that has already been suggested, forgive my duplication.
And, thanks for Scribus!
