The following command would cut it into 20 equal sized images (four horizontally, five vertically). That should be good enough for proofing. The resulting files will be named piece_00.pdf through piece_19.pdf. convert source.pdf -crop 4x5@ +repage +adjoin piece_%02d.pdf -- Henry
