[scribus] When we open an SLA file, all the image frames are empty. How come the images don't show?

no, not really.

if the files is "big" (i mean, the .sla file!) you can use it to save
space.

if the files are small (and they mostly are compared to the size of
your hard disk), it's simply not really useful but does not really do
any damages, either.
