Does anyone know or have an educated guess what equipment CreateSpace uses for a color book interior and what is the printer color management profile to use?
CreateSpace cannot or will not reveal the technical information needed to manage color for a book interior. All I can learn from CreateSpace (after a series of queries to support) is that they use digital printers and I should work in CMYK. I would like to control the appearance of color photographs AND the color of display typography. I use Lightroom 3.6 and Photoshop or Gimp for managing and preparing photos, the color space is Adobe RGB. Lightroom can set an ICC/ICM profile to print photos, perhaps others profile types, but needs a file with the printer info. Scribus allows me to enter the color management profile of the target printer. What is a proven workflow? Do I convert all the photos to CMYK, and which program should I use? Or do I work in RGB and rely on Scribus for the conversion?
