checked: it's already fixed in the next version (1.6) btw, now that you have sorted it out and just for your information: in most cases, with scribus 1.4 it's not worth to use the tables. tabs in a text frame are mostly a better fit... but only you know what you are going to do :-) ciao a.l.e
