Hi Martin, I'm not a professional in working with a team, but work in a loose team, and my idea would be to try importing pdfs from the team members.
This would only confuse page numbers if they use the wrong ones, but Scribus can easily import pdfs as pictures, and you could easily add correct page numbers or other elements of the template on top of them. I use pdf import for any layouted documents from other people who send in articles in our church monthly, for example the calendar or readily layouted announcements, and it works great. Rolf
