Sorry, we don't support the older versions anymore. If you can get it to build, then great. There are issues on 10.5/10.6 with Qt that mean you need to use the Carbon version.
We will soon be setting Qt5.4 as the minimum Qt version too for Scribus after 1.5.1 is released.
