You are right, Greg, cranking it up to 400 % shows clear fonts. So it's the printer. And if nobody here has an idea where to set something, I will have to try myself ;) Thanks a lot for the idea anyway! In your Fedory, which printer or command fails and which one works? Maybe it's possible to find a defect library and swap/recompile it? Regards Rolf
