Hmm, that leaves those using sdcc from their distribution as the great
unknown. Debian and ubuntu have their popularity-contest, but most users
don't participate in them.
One probably would have to scale the number by total installations of
each distribution.
According to the populkarity-contest data, 0.25% of Debian users and
0.21% of Ubuntu users have sdcc installed. However only 0.05% of Debian
users use it regularly, and only 0.003% of ubuntu users use sdcc regularly.

Whatever. It don't see a way to get reliable data on OS usage by sdcc
users. It probaly doesn't really matter that much anyway, since AFAIK we
intend to have sdcc work on all major operating systems, including *BSD
and the Hurd.
