Hi Paul It's a massive task to go through the issue tracker, yet that's what we try. However, current focus is on bug fixes mainly as it is in all of your interest to have a stable eZ Publish 4. Later on we'll integrate much more feature enhancements, as well as architecture changes.
This one bugged me today as well, so it is scheduled for the next minor releases.
