Hi,

Nice to see that implementation on new admin has started :)
Just one remark : it would be nice to use optimized PNG8 files instead of GIF 
for design images as PNG is almost every time smaller (when it's not the case, 
the difference is only about a few bytes !).
For instance with chrome_expand_corner.gif in this commit :

842b chrome_expand_corner.gif
152b chrome_expand_corner.png (produced by GIMP with right settings see 
screenshot)
139b chrome_expand_corner_opt.png (optimized by pngcrush -rem alla -reduce 
-brute)
