I've just checked in a tutorial on loading, using, and animating
images. Grab it from my snapshots page:

I'll update the sdl.perl.org site tomorrow with this tutorial and better
links. (The version in the tarball comes with a demo, though!)
My next project is to add Mac OS X support to the builder; I found a
patch for this on the web. It looks fairly easy, but it'll require
abstracting out a few bits of the install process which should be done
anyway. (That'll make Win32 a little easier to support too.)
Aside from a few bugfixes, that's pretty close to a release. Hooray!
