What three branches!?

Currently I found a memory leak in SDL Perl (while reviving my own
SDL::App::FPS work) and want to send in a patch (plus patches for other
issues like doc, and slowness).

At first I considered sending it here. But I could also send it directly
to David, or to http://rt.cpan.org. Where should it really go? And
against what version, the only one I know if is on CPAN (where it should
be).

Seeing that the Changes file in 2.1.3 is garbled (either no longer
updated, or the dates are wrong, as the last entry is from 2004!), and
the bug list on rt.cpan.org is stale (there are one year old bugs that
are marked open, but *seem* to be patched from the comments), I am really
unsure what the best place is to get my patches to the end-users as fast
as possible.

This guessing is all very time consuming and frustrating for me, and I
guess other possible contributors have the same feeling (like TONYC, who
reported a bunch of bugs with patches 7 weeks ago on RT, and they seem to
be ignored).

Best wishes,

Tels
