this really isn't surprising....i can't tell you how many times i've been
insulted for saying that nirvana's music was insanely cheesey and could be
taught to first week guitar students....little alterna-kids always say, "how
can you say that?!?!!? its so intense and powerful!" who the hell cares how
intense or catchy it is, the fact remains that kurt cobain's songs require
little more knowledge of the guitar than a power chord...i remember when i
started playing, it was less than a month before i was jamming on them.
don't get me wrong, i like nirvana, but i don't think any intelligent person
can honestly say that the technique and skill (or lack thereof) of nirvana
is to be admired...
