Well, as far as the updates go, I'm EXTREMLY sad that chris thompson will not return for art direction. I trust SDRE's art opinion, and i'm sure they can find something equal to chris's work, but for me Chris made the album - he was as much of a member as any of the other guys. I know SDRE didn't come up with the artwork for the live album, but that has to be some of the worst crap i've ever seen. Subpop screwed that up. But... I am looking forward to the "haunting sound" as Dan described the new album to have. I considered Diary to be a haunting album is some ways, and that still remains my favorite album. This was good news for me, i'm hoping this is a step back to that older sound. Still, this seems to be a big change. How it feels is definintly more acceptable in the mainstream, and recent steps made seems to be walking further in that direction. Turning the website over to Artist Direct, the new producer, not having Chris return...this just too weird. Something is up, guys.
