Agreed. Some of my favorite bands and their names are: Archers of Loaf - Terrible Sunny Day Real Estate - Kind of neat, but clunky and occasionally annoying Superchunk - Terrible Blur - Nothing special, but at least it's short. Pavement - Same. Radiohead - Kind of cheesy. Pedro the Lion - Way too silly. Drive Like Jehu - Ok. This one is actually great. And hey, the name Nirvana sounds like some affecting, pretentious emo band. They might as well be called Pharaoh or something. The point is, most of the greatest bands have terrible names, and most of the terrible bands do too.
