I'm looking for a contract Ruby and Rails expert to wrap our RESTful API and website applications with thorough and elegant test suite that follows best practices. It will be your responsibility to design, plan, and execute the development of the test suite. You will be working independently with weekly periodic code reviews. If you value best practices and enjoy dissecting and refactoring legacy code, then this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact. The testing methodology will be integrated with future dev BDD/TDD process.
The test suite will cover our Rails 2.3.5 API and Pylons website code-base. The existing code has very limited test coverage. Once the test suite is complete we plan to migrate both applications to Rails 3. Functional, Unit, Integration with Rspec, Cucumber, Steakm, Capybara Guard etc..
