More is always better, especially given that there will inevitably be a few no-shows.
Our main pain point is still teachers and TA's. We will need at least 4 classes, which means a minimum of 8 Ruby-knowledgable volunteers. We JUST have that now, but as I say, with no margin for no-shows. No to mention we still have room for more signups (that the meetup is wait listed is not a full picture -- there is a form you must fill out and we have ~20 students now formally "registered" that way). 5 per class is good. But if we get a second tranche of registrations, we could as much as double that, and 10 students per class is really big for these things. I am also trying to help minimize the cost to our host to provide the space to us. So, I'm also looking for a non-technical volunteer who might be able to allow us to not have an employee present (i.e., mostly watch the doors, but also help keep an eye on the facility generally). I don't know if our hosts will go for that, but I'd like to offer. And along those lines, while I thought we had an understanding with our hosts, there are some cost issues now. It would be good if we could find a sponsor just for hosting costs. If anyone can help there, let us know. In future, we are likely to approach local companies to host that way.
