Software Engineer / Rails Development Hello...Our local Carlsbad client is hiring engineers to join their core platform development team in north county San Diego. They are still small and nimble, you will work closely with the team in a high energy environment to shape the future of our core products. If you are sharp, enjoy working on reporting, visualizations, UI workflows and want to help build a company from the ground up then you might be a good fit.
Responsibilities - Join our engineering team to develop front-end tools for mobile advertising and analytics infrastructure - Design, develop and maintain all aspects of cloud-based web applications, from user-interfaces to data models - Work closely with core engineering team to evolve and maintain general architecture - Constantly strive to innovate and improve overall systems Requirements Expert-level knowledge of Ruby on Rails (3-4 years +) - Extensive knowledge of Test Driven Development - Demonstrated experience delivering multiple front-to-back Ruby, Rails deployments - Expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications - Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and a willingness to learn - Previous start-up experience, self-motivated and reliable. - RoR, Ruby, MySQL, Nginx, Javascript, CSS, Git, SVN Strong Pluses: - Shipped a high-traffic Rails application or published a gem - In addition to Ruby, experience with some combination of Java, Python, C, C++ - Understanding of large-scale data processing technologies (SQL, Hadoop, Hive) - Experience or familiarity with Amazon EC2, S3, Heroku - Comfortable with networking, systems administration, database administration, load balancing, instrumentation/monitoring and release management Compensation is $80-85/hr. for contract and $100-125K for permanent -- -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SD Ruby" group.
