We are seeking a *Senior Ruby Application Developer* with 5+ years of enterprise software development experience using Ruby and Ruby on Rails for our Solana Beach, CA or Burbank, CA facility. Primary Responsibilities § Quickly learn and build upon existing products and technologies § Use analytic skills to deal with requirements and/or issues that may be loosely defined and the ability to further manipulate and expand on them. § Design and implement new application functionality, including ground-up product development § Work with technical lead to design and implement solutions § Develop and implement testing strategies § Create low-level implementation specifications and documentation § Create estimates of development tasks Required Experience § 5+ years experience doing web-based software development using MVC frameworks § 3+ years experience doing web application development using Ruby on Rails Framework - Experience using the following web-based technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML - 2+ Experience with client-side front-end frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, Bootstrap, or Prototype - 3+ years experience implementing OO solutions and a sound understanding of OO principles - Experiencing integrating with back end services. § Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills § BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Desired Experience § An understanding of Agile software development principals such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, and test-driven development § Familiarity with cloud-based technologies like GitHub and Heroku - Familiarity with DRM technology such as Widevine or PlayReady - Experience in the media or entertainment industry We offer competitive pay and benefits program, including: medical, dental & vision coverage, vacation & sick leave, 401(k), company health screenings and more.
