Hello SDRuby,

Happy 2015! We wanted to send out a quick note to let you know that we will
be moving the January Magic night to January 29th
<http://airmail.calendar/2015-01-29%2012:00:00%20PST> @ 6:00 PM
<http://airmail.calendar/2015-01-20%2018:00:00%20PST>. The location will
stay the same (Monk Development: 2707 Congress Street). Please follow/RSVP
on the meetup page for updates: http://www.meetup.com/sdruby/.

Additionally, we want to share with you our new vision for SDRuby Magic
Nights in 2015. We are introducing two new formats for the night, and will
rotate between them each month. Magic nights are an opportunity to make the
group better collaborators and even better rubyists. Towards this end, we
will have the following three formats for sharpening or Ruby talents:

   - Challenge nights: this is what we have been doing previously. A
challenge is presented and the participants break up into small groups to
   solve the problem
   - Code-review: these will be small group challenges with a focus on
   code-reading and learning new techniques.
   - Gem-nights: A single speaker will discuss a popular gem and present
usage techniques and interesting aspects of the code.

The two new formats will likely be shorter meetings than the challenge
nights and we will update the event on meetup accordingly.

We look forward to seeing you at the coming Magic Nights and welcome any
new ideas (feel free to email any of us) on the new formats or other ideas
to make the nights better.

Cheers,
