Are you a Ubuntu sysadmin who can take on periodic projects? Looking for a knowledgeable individual who works with Ubuntu, Rails/Ruby, and AWS continuously. Some background - my apps are deployed on EC2, and over the years have developed a set of tools/scripts to manage the application deployment and sysadmin tasks. The drawback with this approach - especially with a one person shop - is occasionally I take a short cut just to get the project moving. e.g. a year ago I had difficulty configuring nginx across multiple domains w/ wildcard certificates, and "solved" the issue running multiple instances.
I would like to find someone who can take on activities like these and streamline the configuration tasks. A healthy knowledge of Amazon services is highly desirable. Some related tasks include 1) configuring EC2 instances launched with an IAM role, to pick up latest IAM role modifications 2) configure Lambda to automate db, ebs backups etc. I have some downtime now, and am trying to resolve past solutions. If this is something you might be interested in please email off the list with your availability and rates.
