This even is to celebrate female entrepreneurs, and we invite anyone interested in doing that to attend. Startup Weekend is 54 hours of education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and hands-on experience. Attendees pitch ideas on Friday night and the most popular ideas form teams that work to demo their products or business ideas on Sunday evening, when a panel of judges will award prizes to teams that have the best-formulated ideas. This tactile experience in building a startup from inception to working idea is open to anyone with a passion for learning and creating! Startup Weekend San Diego: Women’s Edition is focused on women, but it’s open to everyone. The idea is to allow women the comfort and ability to enjoy the Startup Weekend experience as the majority, whereas most events of this kind are typically male-dominated.
