The ideal candidate will be a total car nut, looking to get involved in the automotive community. Experience in marketplace development is strongly preferred. The candidate must be a motivated individual, a self starter, and have a positive attitude. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deliver back and front end components for a revolutionary marketplace experience. - Work with a talented team of programmers and provide mentorship and technical direction to other team members. - Collaborate with Marketing, Design, and the Founding team to develop the best user experience. - Be innovative; Provide process improvements, and offer creative solutions. Job Requirements - Must have 3 or more years of web software development - At least 2 year of Ruby on Rails experience - Experience with optimizing for mobile viewing, Android/iOS experience is a plus - Marketplace development experience highly valued. - Design and development experience strongly preferred. - Development experience with a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL. - HAML, Bootstrap is a plus - Exposure to cloud development platforms such as Amazon AWS, Heroku - Demonstrable experience in solving challenging problems –i.e. expect a code challenge. - Ability to provide code samples of previous work, preferably via Github Education Bachelor’s degree. May substitute experience in lieu of degree. Salary Range and Bonus Potential: 3 month contract to hire position with competitive pay.
