FEATURED TALK FOR JUNE:
Mike Ko - How to Create Real-Time Chat using Rails Action Cable
Many wonderful features comes with Rails 5, and one of the awesome features
is Action Cable. Action Cable uses Web Socket connection under the hood to
make bi-directional communication between the Client and Server possible.
With of JavaScript, any rails developers can easily create real time chat
system.

LIGHTNING TALKS:
Lea Ann Bradford - Gems and Engines
I've been working on an engine for a client and someone asked me, "what is
an engine?" and "what's the difference between an engine and a gem?", so I
thought I'd do a lightning talk about what a gem is, what an engine is, and
what is the difference between the two.

We're always open for people to share lightning talks. Feel free to sign up
here: http://bit.ly/1Nsq9g8 (Google Form). Lightning talks are 5 minutes
and a great chance to dip your toes in if you've always
wanted to talk at SDRuby, but haven't had the chance to yet.
....

We meet the first Thursday of each month.

We'll start with networking over pizza and soda at 6:00.

Around 7:00, we'll jump in with a featured talk or two, and throw in some
lightning talks and giveaways.

By about 8:30, we'll go out for beers and more networking.

Come for any or all of the fun!

All Ruby experience levels welcome!

Follow us on @sdruby (http://twitter.com/sdruby) on Twitter for meeting
