Not straight forward but doable. I first took backup of Nokia contacts on the memory card. Then copied all vCard files on the memory card of the android phone. Opened contacts in Android, go to options and select import/export and then select import from sd card. -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Rahul Kelapure Sent: 08 October 2012 13:16 To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: Re: [AI] My first two weeks with Samsung S3 Hi Prashant and others, I am facing an issue. Re: [AI] Request for Vote
hello, the aim behind this competition is certainly noble and deserves more and more success as there is stringent need to have many braile transcription centres across the country because considering the imerging era of etext technology, many people tend to loose the touch with braille script apart from beeing strictly implemented in the primary or special schools only wich is taking place in most of the cases though not everywhere. i would certainly wish to be the part of this competition and vote but i afraid of voting through any method of using mobile varification or only adopting the way of mobile participation because my experience has yielded many times bad results such as, too many advertisements, etc even these mobile numbers obtained from such competitions has been acquired by many comercial companies to market their products. i don't at all say that this might happen with this competition just afraid to be part of the event wich only restricts the voting through mobile. i could also not understand that braille transcription is rarely available outside and people charge hefty for the same as i know couple of organisations who charge just a rupee or so for per page in addition to the nominal charges towards binding the transcription work. of course, i am of the strong opinion that more and more braille transcription units be set up to strengthen the desire of reading the matterial in braille by print impaired persons but just could not understand the intention clearly hence, expressed my views. i do not meant to hurt anyone by expressing my opinion rather i give my best wishes for this noble project. please let me know if this voting is open by online mode or landline or any other form except the mobile varification. i would certainly be part of it. thanks, mukesh. Is this number for voting? 02261805716 Let me know. I recieved a call yesterday evening from a gentleman who told me to vote in this number by giving missed call. So I have tried 3 times but it says that the number does not exist. so I thought may be I got the wrong number! On 10/8/12, mukesh jain mukesh.jai...@gmail.com wrote: hello, the aim behind this competition is certainly noble and deserves more and more success as there is stringent need to have many braile transcription centres across the country because considering the imerging era of etext technology, many people tend to loose the touch with braille script apart from beeing strictly implemented in the primary or special schools only wich is taking place in most of the cases though not everywhere. i would certainly wish to be the part of this competition and vote but i afraid of voting through any method of using mobile varification or only adopting the way of mobile participation because my experience has yielded many times bad results such as, too many advertisements, etc even these mobile numbers obtained from such competitions has been acquired by many comercial companies to market their products. i don't at all say that this might happen with this competition just afraid to be part of the event wich only restricts the voting through mobile. i could also not understand that braille transcription is rarely available outside and people charge hefty for the same as i know couple of organisations who charge just a rupee or so for per page in addition to the nominal charges towards binding the transcription work. of course, i am of the strong opinion that more and more braille transcription units be set up to strengthen the desire of reading the matterial in braille by print impaired persons but just could not understand the intention clearly hence, expressed my views. i do not meant to hurt anyone by expressing my opinion rather i give my best wishes for this noble project. please let me know if this voting is open by online mode or landline or any other form except the mobile varification. i would certainly be part of it. thanks, mukesh. This is very rarely available outside and if its available, poeple charge hefty prices which most cant afford. The organisation aims at creating a huge library(Now existing on a small scale) for itself where any needy person can borrow books free of cost. This requires the to buy a machine called 'Braille Embozer' and they also need to employ a technician to operate it.
