RE: [ActiveDir] Can I add an index in AD using an LDIF file?
Title: Can I add an index in AD using an LDIF file? Unlike some other LDAP directories, the MSFT guys had the brilliant insight to actually put the indexing info for an attribute as an actual attribute of the attribute definition in the schema so you can do this with LDIF and so it takes effect on the fly. Compare this to modifying the slapd.conf file and restarting the directory service. Heck I usually use admod to index attributes in AD and ADAM, but then I do most of my schema adds/mods/deletes with admod. joe -- O'Reilly Active Directory Third Edition - http://www.joeware.net/win/ad3e.htm From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED]Sent: Friday, July 28, 2006 10:46 AMTo: ActiveDir@mail.activedir.orgSubject: [ActiveDir] Can I add an index in AD using an LDIF file?
