Hi Kevin.

It would mean the world if you could help push things along. How do I reach
you off-list?

Kevin, fair enough, but the Token Review team has a response-time measured
in weeks, so this forum is our only means of seeking answers (and venting
frustration).

I just cannot understand that Google does not give the matter of API Token
approval higher priority. Adwords is Google's financial foundation, and
with this neglience Google is turning its back on companies trying to make
this foundation even stronger. It's really quite a mystery...
Makes you want to help Bing gain bigger market share.

So is it ever "appropriate" to not adhere to the RMF-list, if you're not an
"End-Advertiser-Only AdWords API Clients and Internal-Only AdWords API
Clients"?

We are building a tool for creating ads for specific products with
automatic updates of price, delivery time etc. Basically it's a tool that
users shouldn't tinker with on a daily basis, so it makes no sense to
implement all the functionality described in the RMF-list - on the contrary!
The very rigid policy is out of sync with your alleged desire to ensure a
good experience for the end-costumer - they will get the exact opposite in
our case, if we start to make the interface complex.

RMF-list - are you kidding? Google, you are loosing the popularity contest...

2011-11-06 Thread Eazybot
We have waited over 2 months for an API developer token approval.

Last week we were presented with the RMF-list (Required Minimum
Functionality), which basically means that we have to build a clone of
Google's own Adwords tool, instead of the simple, intuitive tool meant for
very specific tasks that we are actually building.
It seems Google has a) not thought this through or b) is trying to squash
competition by making life impossible for us.

Google does not answer our mails, so I hope someone in here can shed a
little light on the issue before it's too late for us.

Well, 6 weeks have come and long since gone.

It's a real mystery to us that Google does not take this seriously.

How long must we wait for developer token approval?

2011-10-05 Thread Eazybot
We have waited almost a month for a developer token.

It seems ridiculous. Like we must get down on our knees and pray for
permission to send truckloads of money Google's way.

Please Google, at least have the decency to make an announcement why
you're unable to live up to your own promise of approval within 2
weeks.
