Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question
Well that was not the original question, you just wanted more ports :) hehehe. You ddi'ent even specify 750UP! :) ehehe , no worries, the issue is right now MT does not have anything that has more POE out than that. so now you are going to something like a Nettoix , just search that on the same site. But yep, that's where you are at now :) [DennisBurgessSignature] www.linktechs.net<http://www.linktechs.net/> - 314-735-0270 x103 - dmburg...@linktechs.net<mailto:dmburg...@linktechs.net> From: Af [mailto:af-boun...@afmug.com] On Behalf Of CBB - Jay Fuller Sent: Monday, April 25, 2016 12:02 PM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question It is ok, we'll forgive ;) show me a 2011 that can do poe on all the ports lol - Original Message - From: Dennis Burgess<mailto:dmburg...@linktechs.net> To: af@afmug.com<mailto:af@afmug.com> Sent: Monday, April 25, 2016 11:54 AM Subject: Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question Sorry all was suppose to be offlist :( www.linktechs.net<http://www.linktechs.net> - 314-735-0270 x103 - dmburg...@linktechs.net<mailto:dmburg...@linktechs.net> From: Af [mailto:af-boun...@afmug.com] On Behalf Of Dennis Burgess Sent: Monday, April 25, 2016 11:54 AM To: af@afmug.com<mailto:af@afmug.com> Subject: Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question http://www.linktechs.net/productcart/pc/showsearchresults.asp?pageStyle=H==2011=Go www.linktechs.net<http://www.linktechs.net/> - 314-735-0270 x103 - dmburg...@linktechs.net<mailto:dmburg...@linktechs.net> From: Af [mailto:af-boun...@afmug.com] On Behalf Of CBB - Jay Fuller Sent: Monday, April 25, 2016 11:43 AM To: af@afmug.com<mailto:af@afmug.com> Subject: [AFMUG] mikrotik question i need something similar to an rb750, but with more ports. eight ports would be good, 10 would be great. whats out there?
Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question
Except it's garbage as a switch, unless you want two switches in one box. It's OK, but know the limitations. At least they got it somewhat right with the CRS125. One controller for wire-speed between all ports and a 1Gb/s FDX uplink to the CPU. I really wish they'd make the same thing based on the 3011 for some more routing horsepower. Re: [AFMUG] mikrotik question
You could also just use a Packetflux 8-port POE (http://store.packetflux.com/sitemonitor-8-channel-gigabit-poe-injector-controller/). Then any RB would work. bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 4/25/2016 10:06 AM, Josh Reynolds wrote: NETONIX :P http://routerboard.com/RB750UPr2 ^ only 4 ports I don't think mikrotik makes something with POE out on more than 4 ports. [AFMUG] Mikrotik question - SIP helper
Can anyone explain to me if the Mikrotik SIP helper has any effect if you don't enable NAT? /ip firewall service-port set sip disabled=no I guess the default setting must depend on what ROS version the router started with, I thought it was always off by default. Wrong. But on our tower routers we don't use NAT and in almost all cases don't even have connection tracking on, so would the SIP helper be rewriting any port 5060/5061 traffic?
