Another issue I've noticed regarding the rendering of several shapes for this bug, is for each shape added, all other shapes added after it also become rendered with the white box outline and on top of the shapes added before each shape. If it's true that Impress renders all shapes added after it in a presentation, that could greatly affect performance for a large number of animated shapes. Upon further testing to see what other factors affect proper rendering, I've attempted to see how gradient, hatching and bitmap area effects (all still partially transparent) were rendered and they all were rendered the same way, becoming mostly white without a bounding box and losing their transparency during animation. Although this is a serious defect in both efficiency and performance, thus needing to be of high priority, it's unclear to me what might be the sole source of the problem. Based on what I've tested for the latest version on two different operating systems, it could be a matter of graphics card capabilities or the operating system itself. Seeing that you found no bugs like this in an older version of OO but on a fairly new OS, this might be the case. These were both tried with and without the delimiter option being checked, and with and without the exponent (e6) part. Based on the appropriate delimiter stated for these locales, should these not be correct? Also, was the result you saw actually shown as "1.8 million" and not 180? The delimiter was indeed set for "," for Finnish along with other European Language Locale settings I've tried and they all displayed the same way. The same goes for the Default (English) and other (Asian) countries with their delimiter set to "." (i.e. Chinese, Japanese) As far as I'm concerned this is acting accordingly, whereas you seem to claim Finish locale has "." as their delimiter but you get two different responses from different operating systems. Could you provide more specific steps on how I could reproduce this bug? Upon opening these templates I discovered that the field names were pointing at an incorrect OOo registered data-source: job_db. The correct data-source was job_db_dev. So I did the logical thing and right- clicked on each and every one of the field-names and selected the "Fields..." menu item from the context menu. In the resulting dialog, I reselected the correct query and field name from the job_db_dev registered datasource; When attempting to generate multiple documents from this query, I wished to use a fieldname in the job_db_dev's query to generate the file names for the documents. In the "Mail Merge" dialog (File->Print) I did the following: 1. Selected the "File" radio button 2. Selected the "Save As Individual Documents" radio button 3. Selected my query from the "job_dev_db" registered data source 4. Checked the "generate file name from database" Then the "Field" dropdown box is not populated with a list of fields from the query that I selected in step 3. The Field dropdown box that I spoke of previously was still not populated (maybe because it was still pointing to the "job_db" datasource for some reason). Also the documents that I did get to generate (and one at a time of course) had no populated data fields within them. So the solution to this was to re-drag all of the datasource back into the document from their field names in the resulting data display of selecting (View->Data Sources) or pressing F4. I use macros (as I have mentioned) and I make one or more file read only so that other people on the network cannot overwrite or delete them or change them accedentally. My macro software then opens these files, let the user make authorised changes and then saves the file with a new name. One example makes invoices with different invoice numbers. Unfortunately OO does not let the user make any changes to the opened file since it is Read only. To have the macros open the file, then save it as a new temp file before it can be edited is to cumbersome, so I am forced to stay with Micro$oft, which does this seemlessly. This is the same problem I have with the autofiltre which unfortunately does not allow for wild cards. Well, that issue has been lying around for ages as well. The one case that remains can be reproduced as follows: 1) Create a cell with text that is too wide for the cell. 2) Change the left/center/right alignment so that the left side of the text is clipped by the cell. In the above, the extents of the text seem to begin at the left edge of the cell and are incremented thereafter. That is, it is as though left alignment were enabled for the cell.
