Downloaded and installed Gentium Basic fonts(installer found the font already installed but I proceeded regardless.) 2. killed all soffice.bin processes and the quickstart tray process. 3. opened command prompt and entered "set SAL_DISABLE_GRAPHITE=1" 4. typed "set" at the command prompt to verify variable was set. 5. in the same command prompt, navigated to ooo programs directory and launched soffice.exe 6. soffice launches and a blank Writer document is opened. I opened a new calc spreadsheet from the Writer menu and entered numbers in a few cells. then right clicked on a cell, selected format cell and then upon clicking on the numbers tab, the program crashes after a few seconds. This may have something to do with the interrelation between font fallback and the UniscribeLayout renderer, which is triggered by the currency symbols. It should ask if I want a version saved every time I close the document. Simple, and then is doing what it says. Sure it would be fabulous if it only asked if I made a change, but I don't think that is necessary, and that could be an enhancement. That it did actually ask each and every time the document was closing would be following the question statement, and performing a task based on that question statement. I don't think this is an enhancement. I feel this is a necessary fix. This needs to be changed so on every close a version is saved OR it asks if I want a version saved. It would then matche the question statement. Anyone who has ticked that box is making a decision that versions are important and should be maintained. I'd rather have versions showing no change, then no version at all, which I'm sure the majority or users are experiencing at the moment. I've made multiple changes to documents I have this box ticked on. Believing it was doing what it said. Saving a version on close. I have no versions other then the most current one. I have installed it and everything seemed fine until I updated one of my extensions (it’s a spell check extension for Belarusian produced by me). I updated the extension both for OOo 3.2.1 and 3.3 b1, with 3.2.1 everything was fine, but 3.3 b1 after closing refused to start again issuing the error message as follows: == The application cannot be started. A general error occurred while accessing your central configuration. == I deleted all user data for 3.3 b1 and copied them from 3.2.1. Then 3.3 started without problem. I gave another try and updated the extension once more. Again, updating resulted in inability to restart OOo and the above error message. And deleting user setting and copying them from 3.2.1 again restored operability. I tried another extension: TemplateChanger [1], updating from version 1.2.3 to 1.2.5. The issue appeared also with it (and with OOo 3.2.1 it was allright). Perhaps that's why no one could reproduce this problem, but again, it didn't happen with 3.2.1, so something must have changed on code related to accessibility features and its integration with GNOME. Checking for that NULL pointer solved the crash problem, but I'm wondering if that pointer it's not supposed to be NULL when you really have activated accessibility tools, and it being NULL on 3.3.0 means that the support for accessibility features in OOo 3.3 is broken and will not work at all. Is out there anybody that can check accessibility features on the OOO330 branch?
