This ability should be added, too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 74785] table of abbreviations
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=74785 Issue #|74785 Summary|table of abbreviations Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|FEATURE Priority|P3 Subcomponent|programming Assigned to|mru Reported by|cxy --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 22 17:44:21 + 2007 --- at the moment, there are only tables for the content, bibliography... and user-defined tables. Nevertheless there is lack of a table of abbreviations, because the possible workarounds are not satisfactory (see e.g. http://www.ooowiki.de/Abk%C3%BCrzungsVerzeichnis): the bibliography is used as a table of abbreviations, one cannot add a bibliography as a table anymore. When the user-defined table is used as an table of abbreviations, the entries are not sorted alphabetically. A table of abbreviations should - contain the abbreviation and its explanation - the ability to have space or dots between them - sort its entries alphabetically - the ability to have split the table into two or more columns - automatically "link" all abbreviations in the text, that have benn recorded into the table and underlay them in grey, so the author while reading the text can see which abbreviations are already recorded and which are still missing - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 73920] add number of footnotes to document statistics
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73920 Issue #|73920 Summary|add number of footnotes to document statistics Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|ENHANCEMENT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|programming Assigned to|mru Reported by|cxy --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jan 26 11:14:39 -0800 2007 --- so far in the statistics of the document only the number of pages, tables, graphics, ole-objects, paragraphs, words, chars and rows is shown. this should be enhanced by adding the number of footnotes of the document. while normally the number of footnotes is equal to the number of the last footnote, a changing edition of a book for example will insert new footnotes by appending a letter, e.g. if a new footnote is inserted after footnote 12, it is named "12a" and so on. for large texts it would be helpful to have the real number of footnotes in the statistics, too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 62841] numbers for paragraphs on outer margin when in columned layout
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=62841 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 13 11:53:27 -0800 2006 --- Sorry, the picture should show two pages, not a page with two columns. I'm not sure whether there are also books with columned pages that use numbers for paragraphs, at least i haven't seen any. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 62841] New - numbers for paragrap hs
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=62841 Issue #:|62841 Summary:|numbers for paragraphs Component:|Word processor Version:|OOo 2.0.1 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|FEATURE Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|formatting Assigned to:|mru Reported by:|cxy --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 6 12:19:04 -0800 2006 --- for scientific literature that is periodically published in updated editions, numbers for paragraphs are jused more and more, so that references to a specific paragraph will be correct in the next edition, too, since not depending on page numbers. such numbers are written beside (to the outer side of a page of a book) a paragraph, either in the middle of it or at its top. It doesn't necessary mean that each paragraph is counted. Paragraphs which are inserted in a later edition, e.g. between paragraph 2 and 3, is numbered "2a". not sure if my description helps so i hope this ascii picture makes it clear: - | texttexttext | texttexttext | | | texttexttext | |2 texttexttext | | | texttexttext | texttexttext 4| | texttexttext | texttexttext | | | texttexttext | | texttexttext | texttexttext | | texttexttext | | | | texttexttext 5| |2atexttexttext | texttexttext | | texttexttext | texttexttext | | texttexttext | texttexttext | | | texttexttext | |3 texttexttext | | | texttexttext | texttexttext 6| |---|---| This would be a handy feature (i think for word there is a similar addon), especially for professors at universities and the like, which write such scientific books (e.g. a commentary for an act or other literature used in law). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
